This mountain region is located at the north of India, sometimes is also dubbed "small Tibet". Its capital Leh is at 3500 MASM and access to neighbouring valleys is possible via passes which exceed 5000 MASM. The region is populated by lots of emigrants from Tiber and so it is not impossible to stumble upon his holliness the Dalai Lama.
